Faith Formation: Faith formation should continue throughout the next few weeks. Parents have the opportunity to lead these lessons and share their faith with their children. Parents and students should work through at least two to three lessons a week. Start with Lesson 51. You may want your student to continue with Memory. In the back of the One in Christ book there are many cherished memory verses. We will continue with memory instruction once we return to school.
Spelling: We will not be focusing on spelling as a class. Instead we will be conscious of correcting errors in our writing.
Journals: Each week day students will spend time writing. I want students to access their Office 360 account and begin their writing. Title this file as your journal and keep adding to it each day. Each entry must be dated and have a minimum of 6 sentences. Students should make sure they are correcting errors. Periodically, I will have them send it to me so I can read them. (They can take a break over the weekends, but I would encourage them not to do so.) They can write about what they did during the day, thoughts, concerns, prayers, original poems or essays. I want to keep them writing and expressing themselves. Students may add color or design, just like they do when they are Praying in Color. Students may want to create a devotion or maybe respond to what they have been reading or even reflecting on scripture. This part of the daily assignments and is pretty open to individual interests and thoughts.

Literature: Students will engage in a novel study during the weeks we are away from school. Each student will be given access to a pdf of the novel as well as an Independent Novel Study packet. I have explained the Novel Packet and expectations to students in class.

If students would rather have a hard copy of the novels, you can come to school and the novels are located on a cart by my desk.
Math: Students will complete one lesson per day. Students may have been given a couple copies of the math paper we use in class. They may copy those copies or they can use lined notebook paper. They are to show their work. They are to reduce ALL fractions to the simplest form unless otherwise instructed. Lessons will be lessened as we begin the educational journey.
